Free Employability Course for Vulnerable Women

Youth Fed will be running a free employability course for vulnerable women aged 19 – 29 from Wirral who are not currently in education, employment or training on Wednesday’s from 12 noon – 3pm for 12 weeks at a Community Centre in Birkenhead plus a 1:1 each week.

They offer a bespoke programme and create a package containing group work and one to one support for women. The group work course includes subjects such as:

·   Mental Health Awareness

·   Career advice and goal planning

·   CV writing and completing application forms effectively

·   Interview Skills

·   Mock Interviews

·   Money management skills

· Emergency First Aid at Work qualification

 This course has limited spaces due to COVID restrictions but they do still have places available. One to one’s will be done over the telephone or on zoom and the weekly course may go online too dependent on Government guidance. If people would prefer to do the whole programme online and not leave their homes then they can arrange that.
