From October 2019 the Big Energy Saving Network (BESN) programme has provided funding to local organisations to help people take action to reduce their energy bills.
BESN has also funded “regional lead” organisations, who offer support to other funded organisations, and design and deliver a programme of training to frontline workers who engage with potentially vulnerable residents. This training is intended to pass on information for the frontline workers to use to help their clients to reduce their energy bills.
Energy Projects Plus is one of the two regional lead organisations for the Northwest of England.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, face-to-face training sessions have been cancelled. However, we didn’t want frontline workers to miss out so Energy Projects Plus has developed this easy to use e-learning, set over three short (approximately 20-minute) sessions.
It has been designed so the sessions can be accessed from any location and on computer or smart-phone (particularly useful for anyone working from home). It also has a simple five-minute “test your learning” element, and front-line workers who successfully complete it will receive a certificate of recognition.
