Dear Friends of Wirral Archives,
There has been an addition to the First World War family history day to be held at Wirral Archives on Monday 7th November.
In addition to the 10 a.m. presentation on the Hamilton Square War Memorial and the afternoon help desk on First World War family history, there will be an extra presentation at 2 p.m. on the First World War Memorials Programme – the Government has made £2 million available to record, repair and conserve war memorials around the country. The talk will be given by David Hearn of the national charity Civic Voice.
If you would like to attend either or both of these presentations, just contact Wirral Archives on 0151 606 2929 or [email protected] to make a booking – there are many places still available.
There are also places available for the upcoming Workshops:
- October 6 – ‘The History of the Postcard’, Bill Johnstone
- November 10 – ‘Wirral and the First World War: 1916’, William Meredith
Regards,
William Meredith
