Have you benefited from the resources put in place locally in the Wirral to help de-stress?
Freshrb CIC are currently working on a 6-8 minute short documentary project, geared to raise the awareness of Stress in the workplace (especially during the pandemic) and looking to see if there are links to potential physical health consequences as a result.
In order to create this documentary, Freshrb are looking for:
– 1 Case study from a person who has benefited from the resources put in place locally in the Wirral to help de-stress.
If you wish to take part, please email [email protected] to express your interest.
As this is the first short documentary (in a series), they are trying to kick start a conversation around stress during these times. They have aspirations to open up a conversation around stress, its real-life impacts and also to encourage further research.
Some research figures around ‘Stress’:
- 74% of people have felt so stressed they have been overwhelmed or unable to cope.
- Younger people have higher stress related to the pressure to succeed. (60% of 18-24 year olds and 41% of 25-34 year olds cited this, compared to 17% of 45-54s and 6% of over 55s).
- 51% of adults who felt stressed reported feeling depressed, and 61% reported feeling anxious.
But it doesn’t have to be this way. By building conversation around stress, a therapeutic space can be created for open dialogue.
Stress Awareness Month is in April and they are seeking to finish production by the first week of March, with hopes of the short documentary out in time for April.
They want to champion communities who have put resources in place that are supporting/helping people de-stress, giving them Local / Regional awareness. They are also looking to bring Global awareness as they seek to enter this short documentary into international health film festivals.
