ESF Community Grant Fund – Briefing on the 28th November 2016


Do you have an idea for a project in Merseyside or Halton to help the people from your community get back into work? Could your organisation make a real difference with a grant of up to £25k.

This is an ideal opportunity to find out more from Tom Youds from WEA who will be coming to brief you on the Liverpool City Region ESF Community Grants – Merseyside and Halton – Round 2 and providing you with valuable tips to improve your applications. 

The event will be held at the St James Centre, 344 Laird Street, Birkenhead, CH41 7AL.

Grants are available between £10,000 – £25,000 to support some of the hardest to reach communities and individuals to help people access further learning or training that could lead to employment.

The funding deadline for Round 2 is the 19th December 2016.

The fund will target the following beneficiaries: People aged 50 and over, people with disabilities and health conditions, single parents, people from ethnic minorities and women.

The types of activities that will be funded are: Initial help with basic skills, taster work experience including voluntary work, training advice and guidance, job search assistance, confidence building and personal development, first contact engagement activities.

To be eligible to apply you must: Be a constituted Voluntary, Community, Social Enterprise organisation (VCSE) based in or currently operating in Merseyside or Halton, Have been in existence for a minimum of 12 months, providing an annual report and published accounts, Not exceed a maximum £500k turnover per year or  no more than 10  full time equivalent  (FTE) staff which ever is greater
