Elimination of Violence Against Women – Orange the Wirral!

International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women – Week commencing 23rd November 2020

Tomorrow’s Women Wirral will be producing online content this year in aid of UN Elimination of Violence Against Women Day 2020 – and they need YOU!

Due to COVID, sadly they cannot host their usual, vibrant, powerful in-centre EVAW event, BUT, that will not stop them from calling out violence against women and highlighting the important work around Wirral and beyond that supports women & stands against their harm. Want to be involved?

There are 2 ways you can get involved in TWW’s EVAW event:

  • If you would be interested in taking part in an online/telephone interview discussing your work, views, or experiences around this topic and/or have your organisation mentioned as part of the Women’s Support Network Spotlight across Social Media please email sharna@tomorrowswomen.org.uk ASAP!
  • ORANGE THE WIRRAL with them! Don your best orange wear & submit a photograph/selfie to sharna@tomorrowswomen.org.uk * by 25th November to be part of their HUGE Orange the Wirral virtual picture – get the rest of the team in too, the more the merrier!

*(Please give your explicit consent via email, alongside your photograph, for it’s promotional use on TWW’s Social Platforms)

If you too are hosting an event, virtual or otherwise, or have any EVAW content for them to highlight similarly please feel free to let them know!

One in three women experience violence in their lifetime, across all social status, class, race, country and age group.

Violence against women and girls is largely unreported, even in today’s world, due to impunity, silence, stigma and shame. We say, no more!

Join them on the 25th November to stand against gendered violence!
