Saturday saw the start of Adult Learners’ Week – the biggest celebration of lifelong learning in England.
The week is now in its 24th year and has inspired similar Adult Learners’ Week celebrations across the world.
Among other things, the event will include National and regional awards ceremonies, a parliamentary reception, ‘Have A Go’ learning taster events, and, until 30th June, The Festival of Learning.
Adult Learners’ Week is also supported by an official website that offers resources such as a Festival Of Learning toolkit, posters for your event and event participation form. The site is also the place to go to register your interest, upload details of your event and keep up to date with what’s going on.
In the Wirral, Adult Learners’ Week will include an Introduction to Japanese class, a Card Making Workshop, a Mindfulness Taster Session, and Magenta Living Adult Learners’ Week 2015 Celebration Lunch… and much more!
