Dementia Together Wirral is a registered charity formed due to a national charity closing their Wirral office leaving those people living with dementia and their carers without the supportive social calendar of regular events that has been built up over the years. Our newsletter will keep you posted.
That’s where we as volunteers stepped in to rescue the situation by continuing to provide memory cafes, singing and activity groups for the benefit of maintaining the community aspect for those used to the scene.
Since our formation in November 2017 we decided to register as a formal charitable incorporated organisation.
We gained Charity Registration No. 1179533 in August 2018.
How you can get involved
Dementia Together Wirral aims to support and befriend those living with dementia and their carers, by providing a variety of activities to enable them to engage with others, have fun and find mutual support.
At this time of increased isolation and with limited support available in our community, the need for new and diverse activities continues to grow.
We are recruiting new Trustees to help shape our strategy for growth and enable that strategy to be turned into a reality. We need people with a wide range of skills and experience to supplement our existing Board. No experience necessary, as training and induction will be provided.
