The Community Ownership Fund is now live!
It’s only available for Community and Voluntary Organisations, and provides them with half the money (up to £250k) to rescue a building for community use. Need to show availability of the other half of the money by the time the bid is being approved. This half could be from a mix of Lottery, Charity, Fund Raising, Loans, Shares etc. There will need to be a business plan to show that the project is sustainable. Building on a minimum 25 year lease. Building to be used to benefit the local community.
For those who have a building in sight, and can move quickly, the first bidding round ends in about four weeks on the 13th August 2021.
