The Howard League for Penal Reform is looking for the country’s best and successful community projects which help cut crime and rebuild lives. We want to hear about outstanding schemes working up and down the country. Do you know of any projects which you think we should be considering?
These annual awards celebrate best practice in diversionary work and champion work in the community that challenges and changes people for the better – be it with children; women; mental health programmes or restorative justice. The Howard League believes that programmes which help to keep people out of the criminal justice system, by providing alternative, proportionate, effective and targeted interventions will reduce the risk of re-offending.

Policing and children
Liaison and diversion
Criminal justice champion
Organisation of the year (new)
Deadline for nominations is Tuesday 20 September 2016. Representatives from all shortlisted projects will be invited to an awards ceremony on Wednesday 30 November 2016 where there will
