Late last week the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) announced funding to be granted to Police and Crime Commissioners (PCCs) for the commissioning of Victims’ Services at a local level for the 2016/17 year.
As you may be aware, the Office of the PCC for Merseyside is currently commissioning a number of service providers to provide support services to victims of crime during 2015/16. Following the MoJ’s funding announcement last week, the PCC is now in a position to begin a tendering process for the commissioning of services for victims from 1st April 2016. As a result, invitations to tender for the following services are now live on Bluelight for four weeks beginning on Monday 25th January:
- Child Sexual Exploitation support service (22705)
- Sexual Offences support service (22709)
- Support service for Children and Young People who have witnessed Domestic Abuse (22708)
- Support service for Vulnerable Victims of crime and those who do not wish to report the crime to the Police (22710)
Full details including the service specification and details of the budget are available on the Bluelight system (link below) and applications will only be accepted via this system. Please note the closing date for the receipt of completed applications is 4pm on Monday 22nd February 2016.
