Dear Hoylake Stakeholder,
You may be aware that the government recently announced that funding is being made available through the Coastal Communities Fund (click on https://www.gov.uk/government/news/90-million-boost-for-the-great-british-coast or https://www.biglotteryfund.org.uk/ccf for more information).
Given the number of community groups and other stakeholders with aspirations for and interest in Hoylake promenade and the progress that has been made with the Hoylake Neighbourhood Plan, we are consulting with you to see if there is any interest in applying for this grant opportunity supported by myself and Helen as the constituency team – the deadline of 30th June is extremely tight but not unmanageable if there is a consensus about a potential bid.
We are proposing to have a meeting on Monday 20th June at 6pm (at Melrose Hall) to discuss – with a request for people to feed in their ideas and thoughts in advance by the end of next week (i.e. Friday 17th June) so that we can collate in advance. If there is no appetite for a bid we think the discussion may be valuable anyway to see if there’s anything we can do to support community aspirations moving forward and to access other opportunities such as the Burbo Bank Community Fund.
Please feel free to circulate this email to anyone you think might be interested in contributing and give me a call of course if you would like to discuss.
Kind regards,
Jane
