Our North West networking and briefing event 4.00 pm – 6.00 pm Thursday January 19 2017 Weightmans LLP, Liverpool
This is our first networking event for Chairs and Vice Chairs of charities in the North West to come together to share current challenges and experiences with each other and to hear about some of the latest issues and requirements in charity governance, with a particular focus on staff and employment law. It also offers an opportunity for those who do not know us, to introduce the Association of Chairs. Speakers are: John Williams, Vice Chair of the Association of Chairs and a former Charity Commissioner, who will talk about the role of the Association and share its recent Chairs’ research. Emlyn Williams, Partner at Weightmans and a board member at FACT (the Foundation for Art and Creative Technology) and Matthew Smith, Associate at Weightmans and Chair at Mencap Liverpool, who will talk on the topic, “Employment Law: Why should I care?” We are very grateful to Weightmans LLP for hosting and speaking.
