Care Home Friends and Neighbours: Intergenerational Linking Project

Care Home Friends and Neighbours: Intergenerational Linking Project is an exciting national initiative from My Home Life England and The Linking Network. They are promoting young people’s engagement with care homes, by linking together schools and youth organisations with older people living in care homes across England.

The project is funded through the #iwill Fund.  The National Lottery Community Fund and the Department of Digital, Culture, Media & Sport are each investing £25 million seed funding to create the #iwill Fund. The Dunhill Medical Trust is acting as a match funder and awarding grants on behalf of the #iwill Fund.

On the 7th October, they hosted a webinar in which they shared info about:

  • Free materials and resources
  • How a tailor-made programme of work could help you make intergenerational linking a possibility
  • Applying for a grant in England from The Dunhill Medical Trust to create a new intergenerational linking project in your local area

Watch a recording of the webinar here.

If you want to apply for a grant, you can submit your expression of interest form to The Dunhill Medical Trust here.

Deadline is 5pm 13th November 2020.
