Do you run projects for your Charity or Not-for-Profit organisation? Do you get stuff done in your community? Are you a trailblazer when it comes to getting people on-board with technology? You might not have a formal leadership role, but we know that leaders come in all shapes and sizes. Wirral Communities need you to step up!
Community Action Wirral is pleased to announce the Leadership of Everything Project which has been funded by Wirral Clinical Commissioning Group. Community Action Wirral is working in partnership with organisational development specialists from Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust to develop a programme for those employed to lead as well as those who consider themselves leaders of projects and communities, as well as aspiring leaders. The project will utilise the Aligning Capabilities model to produce practical exercises and actions that the Wirral Community Sector can use to lead communities. The project will also aim to bring together leaders from Community Sector organisations in Wirral with leaders from Primary Care and NHS Community Services. Primary Care Organisations include GPs and Pharmacy Services.
The project is building on the successes that the Community Sector has had in working with health organisations to deliver services for Wirral residents which enhance their physical and mental health. As health challenges in our population become more acute our communities will have no alternative but to rely on community leaders to instigate conversations that challenge social conventions to capture innovative solutions to old and growing problems. The Leadership of Everything Project is about channelling Wirral’s collective experience, skills and energy to help drive positive social change and enable our communities to thrive.
We are looking for volunteers from the Community Sector to work together and using the latest evidence around leadership and network development we will create a programme that will appeal to all leaders interested in working in new and collaborative ways. We will explore new ideas and approaches, looking for what will add real value and learning. The programme will be inclusive. We value diversity and will work to make sure that opportunities are open to all, especially with the aim of reaching those who don’t see themselves as leaders.
If you have any expertise in or a desire to learn about the following areas we would like you to get in touch:
o Leading Self

o Leading in Wirral
o Leading in the 21st Century
For those working or volunteering in Charity or Not-for-Profit Organisations, there will be 20 part-funded places on Chartered Management Institute (CMI) accredited courses with both level 3 and level 5 places available.
In order to strengthen local networks and knowledge, we will be matching 10 mentors with mentees. The mentors will be sharing knowledge of delivering statutory contracts, managing large scale projects and leading staff, volunteers and community members through change.
If you would like to be involved in the leadership, training or mentor elements please send the Leadership of Everything EOI form (download below) to [email protected] before 8th August 2019.
