Community Action Wirral’s bid to be crowned champions in a national competition designed to help community groups and individuals take control of their energy bills is almost over.
The race is on to recruit would-be energy savers from across Wirral as part of a bid to win a national energy saving competition.
Social isolation is a major health issue, which can lead to a range of health conditions and is becoming a significant issue that is affecting a growing number of people in Wirral.
Since 2008 Voluntary & Community Action Wirral has gone from strength-to-strength. We have administered over £1.25 million in grant funding, provided support to over 1000 local third sector organisations and successfully matched a large number of volunteers with many of these organisations. To build on our success and to reflect our future plans, last year we announced that we had chosen a new name for our organisation.
