Bike Week Encourages Public To Get On Their Bike!

0

Bike Week 2015 starts tomorrow, 13th June, and runs to 21st June. It is an annual opportunity to discover the social, health and environmental benefits of cycling.

Cycling can easily be part of everyday life – whether for fun, for getting to work or school, or just to visit friends. Bikes can be bought for very little indeed – even for FREE in some circumstances – and many cities now operate a hire scheme such as Liverpool’s Citybike.

This year’s Bike Week has a focus on cycling to work and will encourage people to leave their cars at home and cycle right past those traffic jams!

However, there are many other events taking place next week. Locally, these range from the Port Sunlight River Park Cycle Hub on Friday 19th June… to the women-only Wirral Bicycle Belles on Saturday 20th June… to the Wirral Bikeathon on 21st June.

As an added incentive, if you pledge to take part in Bike Week 2015, you can be in with a chance of winning amazing prizes like a new bike worth £500 and an iPad Mini!

So don’t be left out – get on your bike!
