Organisations are invited to submit applications with projects, events, or activities that can benefit residents that live within the Big Local area (Beechwood / Ballantyne / Bidston Village area of Birkenhead).

The Big Local Bright Ideas Fund welcomes applications from not-for-profit, private sector and public sector organisations that will benefit residents living in the Birkenhead area of Beechwood, Ballantyne & Bidston Village ONLY.
The fund is open to all ideas although we would especially welcome applications that address one or more of the following;
Increasing the wellbeing of residents
Mental health support for residents
Activities that broaden the horizon of children and young people
Confidence building sessions (or where this is built into an activity)
One-off pieces of research (i.e. obesity in young people in the Big Local area and ways to prevent it)
Activities that could provide regular exercise for residents
Tackling local needs
• Activities to tackle anti-social behaviour
• Provision of a first-aid course which residents and organisations in the Big Local area could attend
• Resources which the community can use and have access to
