CVS WorkerClosing Date 30 June 2021

Job title: CVS Support Worker

Location: Bromborough, Bromborough Pool, Wallasey – Wirral

Salary:  £8.91 per hour

Rota: Monday to Friday 9:15 a.m – 4:15 p.m

Benefits:

Requirements of a CVS Support Worker:

  • Basic understanding of autism
  • Ability to encourage and motivate others
  • Commitment to person centred approaches
  • Understanding of the importance of confidentiality
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Basic IT skills

Responsibilities of a CVS Support Worker:

  • To support service users to continually develop their social skills and promoting independence by participating in the following activities and practical skill based learning.
  • Attend to the personal care of service users such as toileting (washing/bathing if required).
  • Deal with various levels of behaviour (full training provided)
  • Complete necessary paperwork/on line systems

Waking Night Support WorkerClosing Date 30 June 2021

Job title: Waking Night Support Worker

Location: Wirral and Cheshire

Salary:  up to £8.95 per hour

Overtime pay:  Overtime avaialable at an additional £1 per hour weekdays or £1.50 per hour weekends on top of your hourly rate of pay.

Hours: 10 hr shifts (3 nights on, 3 nights off or 4 nights on 4 night off)

 Benefits:

  • Understanding of the importance of confidentiality

Responsibilities of Waking Night Support Worker:

  • Provide a safe and secure home environment for the service user during the night
  • Keep the home clean and tidy attending to laundry duties as required
  • Attend to the personal care of service users
  • Administer medication as and when required (full training provided)

  • Attending to the personal care of service users such as toileting (washing/bathing if required)
  • Administering medication as and when required (full training provided)
  • Supporting service users through times when they are feeling anxious and may result in them displaying risk behaviours

 What I will be doing as a Support Worker:

  • Accompanying service users to leisure activities/outings, enabling them to acquire independence, whilst at the same time encouraging them to integrate as a group and gain and develop social skills.
  • Accompanying service users to appointments – e.g. the doctors, dentist, hairdressers.
  • Helping prepare lunch with the service user – ensuring they have a healthy and balanced diet and that dietary requirements are met.
  • Helping the service user with their personal hygiene and personal care needs – helping to the toilet, changing pads and washing.
  • Maintaining the standard of living within the house – ensuring it is clean and tidy and encouraging the service user to participate in cleaning and tidying activities.
  • Administering medication as and when required (full training provided).    
  • Supporting service users through times when they are feeling anxious and may result in them displaying risk behaviours.
