4Daughters is a charity focused on providing funding for initiatives, charities or organisations that are committed to making a real difference in:
- Supporting older people to stay in or find meaningful work or volunteering;
- Strengthening communities that are inclusive of older people; and
- Supporting informal carers to develop their own peer-based approaches.
4Daughters is a family Foundation with expertise in education and healthcare. We have hands on experience in growing small businesses and charities. Our trustees and advisors have a background in teaching, medicine, technology and law. They have worked in London secondary schools, charities and social enterprises, central Government, and the NHS.
The Foundation is looking to fund projects, organisations or ideas that can make a systemic impact to improve ageing in the UK . We will avoid small-scale work without the capacity for scale, although we recognise the importance and value of that work. We are open to examples of international best-practice that can be effectively contextualised for the UK.
We have the capacity to fund up to £250,000 in this grants round (deadline for concept notes is 13 December 2019). We are open to any size of grant from small grants through to £200,000+ based on need.
