Wirral Met College Students’ Union is  delighted to confirm the dates for this year’s Volunteering Fair as follows:

Tuesday 23rd May – Conway Park  (Hair and Beauty, Hospitality and Catering, Prep for Work and Life, Travel and Tourism, Business,)

Wednesday 24th May – The Oval    (Public Services, Military Prep, Sport and Fitness)

Thursday 25th May – 12 Quays        (Health and Social Care, Art and Design, Music and Performance, Childhood Studies, Animal Care,

IT and Computing Engineering, Science)

Friday 26th May – Wirral Waters   (Construction, Electrical Engineering)

All the events will run between 11am and 1pm

Once again, the Fair will provide an opportunity for your organisation  to attend one or more of the events in the hope that this will be mutually beneficial as we try and promote the concept and value of volunteering to our student community .

Students at Wirral Met are generally timetabled to attend full time courses for 2.5 days per week.  This means we don’t have all students on site all day, every day of the week.  It is difficult therefore, to give an accurate number of how many are likely to attend although we  would anticipate at least 70-80 at Conway Park and 12 Quays with slightly fewer at Wirral Waters and The Oval.

I trust the foregoing will help you to decide which of the events is most likely to benefit your organisation – of course you are welcome to attend all of them if you have the time and staff to do so – whatever you decide you will be very welcome.

Can you please complete the table attached below and mail it back to me, if possible no later than Friday 28thth April,   to indicate which days your organisation would like to attend and who will be staffing your stand each day (doesn’t matter if names change on the day but numbers are important). Wirral Met College Volunteering Fair organisation attendance form

Please feel free to bring promotional banners etc. with you as well as any leaflets or handouts .  Students always like ‘freebies’ although we obviously realise that your budgets are likely to be very limited so this may not be feasible.

We don’t have much access to electric sockets in the area where the events are going to be happening  so we may struggle to plug in laptops etc. and parking isn’t great either – sorry but we’ll keep you topped up with plenty of tea and coffee for the duration to make up for it!

If you need more information please don’t hesitate to get in touch with Jill Collins, either by email [email protected]  or on 07852001013.
