Meet the Funder: Groundwork: Tesco’s Bags of Help and Tesco Bidston Community Champion (3)

We are very pleased to welcome Brendan Cassin –Tesco Bags of Help Enabler and Debbie Layfield – Community Champion from Tesco’s Bidston to the third Meet the Funder on Wirral.

This event will be held on Thursday the 26th April 2018 from 10 am prompt to 12:30 pm at The Lauries, 142 Claughton Road, Birkenhead, CH41 6EY in the Exmouth Suite.

Bags of Help is Tesco’s exciting local community grant scheme  where the money raised by the sale of carrier bags is being used to fund thousands of local projects in communities right across the UK.  Projects that bring benefit to their community will get the green light – these range from improving community buildings and outdoor spaces to buying new equipment, training coaches or volunteers and hosting community events.

Administration of the local funding is being managed by the community charity with a green heart, Groundwork, which specialises in transforming communities and the local environment for the better.

Bags of Help funds local projects that improve the environment. Grants of up to £4,000 are available.

This is an ideal opportunity to learn about the fund which is a rolling programme, as well as meet your local Tesco Bags of Help Enabler, and your local Tesco’s Community Champion.
