We are pleased to welcome Lydia Tither, Children in Need, and Sandra Scott, Wirral Care Foundation, on the 22nd March for our second Meet the Funder event for 2018.
The Meet the Funder sessions are an opportunity for organisations on Wirral to learn more about the funders, make a personal connection with the grant administrator and ask as many questions as they want to. The session will run from 10am to 12:30pm.
BBC Children in Need awards grants each year to organisations supporting disadvantaged children and young people.
Grants of over £10,000 per project are available to not for profit organisations and schools that work with young people who are experiencing:
- Disadvantage through illness, distress, abuse or neglect
- Any kind of disability
- Behavioural or psychological difficulties
- And / or living in poverty or situations of deprivation.
Schools can also apply for funding but the project must be additional to their statutory duties.
Wirral Care Foundation
The Wirral Care Foundation is the charitable arm of Home Instead Senior Care Wirral. Last year, Wirral Care Foundation invested £2,500 to community groups who could not access access higher level funding. Although Home Instead Senior Care Wirral support predominantly older people, their Foundation is open to anyone that can benefit the people of Wirral.
