Complementary Therapy Coordinator at Claire House (Full and Part time opportunities)


Salary: £18,658 – £21,950 (pro-rata for part time)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Complementary therapist to work as part of a multidisciplinary team in all Claire House settings; WIRRAL Hospice, Liverpool Day therapy unit and community to provide complementary therapies to children/young people who have complex, palliative or end of life care needs as well as their family. This is role also involves coordinating a team of volunteer therapies providing support, guidance and linking therapists with clients following a holistic assessment.

A qualification and experience of 2 or more therapies is essential to offer choice to children and families:

  • Aromatherapy massage
  • Reflexology
  • Indian Head Massage
  • Reiki

Previous experience of working with children or bereavement is desirable but not essential.

Our multidisciplinary team provides symptom management, palliative and end-of-life care, as well as planned and emergency short breaks both at the hospice, Liverpool day therapy unit and in the community. Dedicated family support and counselling is provided for all the family on an individual or group basis.
