With effect from Tuesday 6th December 2016, Community Action Wirral are relocating their office to Egerton House in Birkenhead. This move will enable closer working between CAW and the Chamber to support collaboration between sectors and new, innovative ways of working in the future. This move will allow CAW to target resources to better support local groups and by combining expertise, CAW and Wirral Chamber can develop new offers to all sector on Wirral.’
Annette Roberts, Chief Executive of CAW said of the move, “We are very excited about the move, not least as it will reduce our running costs by moving into serviced office space. Coupled with the back-office support Wirral Chamber will be providing, we can get on with the job in hand – securing further funding in 2017 to serve the needs of the community and ensure the longevity of Community Action Wirral’.
Paula Basnett, CEO Wirral Chamber commented, ‘We are delighted to be able to support a crucial member of the Third Sector and indeed of the Wirral community. Through economies of scale and using some of our expertise, Annette and her team will be able to drive forward with volunteering in Wirral and continue with the great work that they do’.
