The AHF can provide grants, subject to eligibility, to help with assessing the viability of a project, or to help fund development costs.
We strongly encourage you to discuss any potential application with the relevant Support Officer in your area before submitting an application.
You can start the application process using the link at the bottom of the page on the website. We recommend preparing your answers before beginning the online application using a Word document of the questions here – please note however formal applications can only be accepted online.
We generally expect applicants to cover at least 50% of the cost of the work. i.e. you must normally be able to match our grant offer with your own funds or with funds raised from other sources. Some exclusions apply; contact your local Support Officer for more details.
Applications for grants of less than £5,000 can be made at any time and we aim to give you a decision within 6 weeks.
Decisions on grants requesting £5,000 and over are made by our Trustees at their quarterly Council meetings.
